Our team is extremely qualified to help your business grow

Catherine Okonkwo

Director

Catherine has a BA in Politics from a Russell Group University and an LLB Law. Her legal pursuits took her to the CQC via a law firm where she worked on clinical negligence and inquest cases defending the NHS. She spent just under five years as a Hospital Inspector before working for the Secretary of State for Health as a data briefer during the pandemic. Following that, Catherine worked in the Harley Medical district as a Director of Operations. Catherine’s background in patient safety, change management and board level expertise forms the basis for the excellent quality governance advice she provides.

Catherine is an inner-city school governor and a governor on the board of the NHS Foundation Trust where she was born – Kingston Hospital NHS FT. Also part of Catherine’s career portfolio is her role as a Patient Safety Partner at NHS NEL ICB.

Mickael Iqbal

Director

Mickael Iqbal brings over a decade of experience in healthcare regulation and compliance to COMI Health. As a former CQC lead inspector, he has successfully guided numerous healthcare providers to achieve regulatory excellence.

Mickael’s background in quality management and patient care, including roles within the private and NHS sectors, informs his expertise in governance and risk management.

Yes, we specialize in creating customized policies tailored to your specific service offerings. We write each policy from scratch to ensure it meets your unique needs and helps you achieve a ‘safe’ rating during inspections. We don’t provide “off the shelf” downloadable polices unlike other services, this is to ensure you don’t get penalised during a CQC inspection. Please see our price list here

Yes, you can cancel your subscription easily. Simply contact your COMI consultant, and they will guide you through the cancellation process. We aim to be flexible without clients so as standard we offer a 1-month cancellation notice, however some clients prefer to have a longer notice period and we are happy to accommodate. Please note that cancellation terms and conditions will be dependent on any specifics you have requested in your contract, so be sure to review your specific contract details.

Yes, you can move between different subscription packages after the initial minimum period of 3 months. We offer flexibility to ensure that our services meet your evolving needs. Whether you wish to upgrade or downgrade your subscription, our team is here to assist you with the transition. For assistance with changing your package, please speak with your COMI consultant.

Our pricing is significantly below industry standards, offering expertise that would typically cost over £65,000 annually for a Governance Lead. However, we are committed to promoting excellence in healthcare and are open to negotiating pricing based on the size of your facility and its annual turnover.

Yes, we can help! Although we recommend having at least one clinician on your team, it is not a requirement by the CQC. We provide a comprehensive six to nine-month training program for your Registered Manager and Nominated Individual. This program will give them all the essential knowledge and skills needed to succeed at the interview stage and in managing your facility effectively.
